PUBLIC NOTICE

Keyah Grande, LLC, located at 13211 Highway 160 West, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147 [(970) 731-2158], has filed an application for a Regular (112) Construction Materials Operation Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction Materials. The proposed mine is known as the Keyah Grande Aggregate Mining Operation, and is located at or near Sections 5, 6, 7 & 8, Township 36 North, Range 9 West, New Mexico Principal Meridian.

The proposed date of commencement is July 2011, and the proposed date of completion is November 2013. The proposed future use of the land is wildlife habitat. Additional information and tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567, or at the Archuleta County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, 449 San Juan Street, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, or the above-named Applicant.

Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety by 4:00 PM on July, 27, 2011.

Please note that under the provisions of C.R.S. 34-32.5-1010 et seq., comments related to noise, truck traffic, hours of operation, visual impacts, effects on property values and other social or economic concerns are issues not subject to this Office’s jurisdiction. These subjects, and similar ones, are typically addressed by your local governments, rather than the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety or the Mined Land Reclamation Board.

INVITATION TO BID

Construction of a Skate Park

In Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Notice is hereby given that Archuleta County, acting in conjunction with the Town of Pagosa Springs, will accept sealed bids for the construction of a Skate Park in 2011.

THREE SETS (ONE UNBOUND PRINTED ORIGINAL, AND TWO PRINTED COPIES), clearly marked “Construction of Skate Park for Pagosa Springs” and the name, address and phone number of the bidder will be received by Larry Walton, Contracts & Procurement Office, 449 San Juan Street, P.O. Box 1507, Pagosa Springs, Colorado (970) 264-8555, until 2:00 p.m., July 8, 2011. As soon as practical after closing time the bids shall be opened in public and read aloud at the Archuleta County Courthouse. Bids received after the closing time shall be returned unopened to the bidder. A bid tab shall be forwarded to all Bidders as soon as practicable thereafter.

Bid terms and documents, including the Skate Park technical specifications and drawings, and a Geotechnical Evaluation of the site are available from the Contracts & Procurement Officer, at the address above. Questions concerning this bid should be submitted in writing to Larry Walton, lwalton@archuletacounty.org. Answers to all questions, inquiries, or requests for additional information will be issued in the form of Addenda. Archuleta County will not be responsible for the authenticity or correctness of oral interpretations of the contract documents or for information obtained in any other manner than through the media of Addenda. Bidders in their bids shall acknowledge receipt of each Addendum, and each Addendum shall be considered a part of the contract documents. Failure to acknowledge receipt of an Addendum issued may invalidate a bid as incomplete. Questions must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. June 28, 2011.

The bid shall be awarded by the Pagosa Springs Town Council. It is the Bidders’ responsibility to verify the exact date of the award. Bidders may, but shall not be required to, attend the award of bid. Notice to Award for construction of the Skate Park will be issued as soon as practical thereafter, to facilitate construction during the 2011 summer season.

The Town of Pagosa Springs reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and minor irregularities in bids, and to accept the bid deemed, in the opinion of the Town, to be in the best interest of the residents of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County.

Notice for Publication

A variance from section 3.1.4 of the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations regarding setback for a new dwelling to be constructed which is proposed to encroach 14 and 24 feet on two sides into the 50 foot high-watermark setback for Block 17 Lot 4 in Lake Pagosa Park, Pagosa Springs.
