At the Pagosa Springs Women’s Club meeting in May, members and guests were encouraged by Tessa Michaelson Schmidt, assistant director of the Ruby Sisson Library, to take advantage of the many programs, services, and resources available at the Library now, such as downloading e-books and audio books, and taking online classes. She educated us as well concerning ongoing and upcoming changes at the library, including a new program room and grant for technology instruction.
The June meeting of the Women’s Club will be held Wednesday, June 8, at Boss Hogg’s Restaurant, starting at 11:30 a.m.
Our speaker will be Karin Kohake, director of Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation. The mission of the PSCDC is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County by creating quality new jobs, encouraging new capital investment, and creating an environment that is business friendly. In addition, the CDC will work closely with existing businesses in order to maximize their profitability and sustainability.
We always welcome guests and new members, so call Sharee Grazda at 731-0666 for more information or to make a lunch reservation.
