Cleta D. Snow died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, Durango, Colo. She was 86.
Cleta was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Aztec, N.M., the daughter of Clifford and Dora Woolsey.?She grew up in Pagosa Springs, Blanco River and Arboles, where her family ranched and farmed. She married Kinzer “Bill” Melrose Snow March 20, 1942, in Aztec, N.M. During the war years, she contributed to the war effort by working at Climax and in Denver at Cates Rubber. When Bill returned from the service, she became a housewife and mother. She loved fishing, cooking and gardening.
Cleta was preceded in death by son Ronald L. Snow, two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her husband Kinzer “Bill” Snow of Bayfield, sons Douglas L. Snow of Durango, son Kinzer “Butch” Snow of Ignacio, brother Harold Woolsey of Washington State, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Pine River Cemetery in Bayfield, Colo.
