The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club is proud to announce the students receiving the 2011 Rotary Scholarships totaling $20,000.
They are as follows:
• Garrett Stoll — $8,000 to be paid over four years. He will attend University of Colorado-Boulder, studying physics.
• Kelsea Anderson — $6,000 to be paid over four years. She will attend University of Colorado-Boulder, studying mechanical engineering.
• Dakota Miller — $2,500. He will attend University of Colorado-Boulder, studying engineering.
• Zach Lucero — $2,000 He will attend Colorado State University, studying psychology.
• Preston Sandoval — $750. He will attend Emily Griffith, studying culinary arts.
• Lars Schneider — $750. He will attend Pueblo Community College, studying fire science and preparing to be a paramedic.
These students were chosen from 17 applicants and are very deserving. Every year since 1983, the Pagosa Springs Rotary Club has provided scholarships for outstanding students. Various Rotary fund-raisers fund the scholarships during the year. The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club congratulates all of the graduating seniors this year.
