Check out what’s new at the center

New curtains, a new sound system and new summer programs.

Wow, the Ross Aragon Community Center is the place to hold all of your upcoming parties, meetings, fund-raisers and events!

We recently improved the multipurpose room with theater-like curtains, and a new PA system that will knock your socks off.

Come down to the center anytime and check out the new additions. Any of our office staff will be happy to give you a tour.

Free programs

Israeli Folk Dance. Dance the night away on Wednesdays from 7-9:30 p.m. in the South Conference room. Contact the center with questions, 264-4152.

Mah Jongg. Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. Call the center with any questions, 264-4152.

Pickleball. Pickleball is a game for all ages. Classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 8-10 a.m. Contact Sharon Athey, (480) 529-3748 or shathey@yahoo.com or Fran Brown, (970) 884-3184, if you would like to play.

Tai Chi. No experience is necessary. Join instructors Pam Kircher and Anna O’Reilly. Classes are Fridays, 11 a.m.-noon. Please wear flat-soled shoes and bring water. Class is open to everyone.

Duplicate Bridge. Every Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-10 p.m. Call Stan at 731-2217 or e-mail Stan at sunset1310@aol.com.

Pagosa Bridge For Fun. Mondays, 12:30-4 p.m. For more information, contact the center, 264-4152.

Hoopsters. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8-9 a.m. Warren and the guys are waiting for you to come out and play. The Hoopsters are a great group of guys getting out there twice a week for a good game of b-ball.

Yoga. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. Tuesdays 10-11:30 a.m. Rejuvenate with us. Please bring a mat or towel. Call the center with questions, 264-4152.

Belly dancing. We offer a beginners’ class, 1:30-2:30 p.m., and an intermediate class from 2:30-4 p.m. on Wednesdays. Learn this beautiful art; it is great exercise and lots of fun. Contact Carla for more information, 731-3117.

Zumba. Dance and exercise zumba style. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m.-noon. Contact Debbie for more information, 731-6132.

Meditation on the Breath. Relax and calm with this meditation class on Monday and Thursday 11-11:30 a.m. For more information call the center, 264-4152.

The Ancient Art of the Hand Drumming. Percussionist Carla Roberts teaches drumming every Wednesday, 4:15-5:15 p.m. This is beginner to intermediate instruction on the goblet-shaped hand drum. Call the center for more information, 264-4152.

The Ross Aragon Community Center has the space you are looking for. We have reasonably priced rooms to meet your event needs. Our rates range from $6 to $72 per hour. Room sizes for 20, 40, 50, 90 or 500 people.

The community center hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.
