Step Outdoors, an organization guiding folks to experience nature, wants to encourage kids to play outside and has created an opportunity for them to do so - to be outside, to investigate, to play hard and to get dirty!
Kids Outside Play Day will be held for kids ages 5-13 on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Town Park.
Presented as a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, this is the time for children to have loads of fun in the great outdoors. The Play Day Team has specially designed an outdoor nature scavenger hunt to keep everyone moving. The offerings also include: painted pots, bag hats, chalk drawing, rainbow hunt and tag, hopscotch and lots of running games. There will be a small snack bar hosted by the Ladies of Alpine Ranch Team, with proceeds also to benefit Relay for Life.
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian and the first 50 children receive a special bag of goodies. Suggested donation is $10 per child.
