This year’s tee-ball season begins Monday at the elementary school athletic fields.
Unless there is inclement weather, games will be played according to the following schedule: Orioles vs. Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Field 1, Cardinals vs. Rockies at 5:30 p.m. on Field 2 and A’s vs. Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Field 1. Full schedules are available at the recreation office and have also been posted on the recreation department page at www.townofpagosasprings.com.
Parents who have not heard from a head coach should call the recreation office to obtain roster information. Games will not be canceled due to cold weather, so parents are reminded to dress children accordingly. Games will be canceled due to rain or poor field conditions caused by heavy rain or snow.

Registration for this year’s youth baseball leagues will run through Friday, April 29.
The recreation office will accept registrations for coach-pitch division (ages 6, 7 and 8), and the 9- and 10-year-old division. The office will also accept registrations for the 11-12 division, but if the number of registrations submitted is not sufficient to support a league in this age bracket, registration fees may be refunded and formal league play may be canceled.
Registrations are available at the recreation office in Town Hall and are also available for download through the recreation department link at www.townofpagosasprings.com. Registrations will be disbursed to local schools, as well. All registrations should be submitted to the recreation office.
Cost to participate in the program is $30 per player and $15 for each additional child in the same family who participates. Team coaches and sponsors are needed and appreciated.
The season is tentatively scheduled to begin in late May and should run through early July; for more information, call the recreation office at 264-4151, Ext. 231 or 232.
The recreation department is accepting donations for this year’s Fourth of July fireworks show.
Donations in any amount will be accepted; checks and money orders should be made payable to Town of Pagosa Springs.
Donations should be addressed “Attention: Fireworks” and mailed to P.O. Box 1859, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. If you would like to make a cash donation, please do so in person at the front desk in Town Hall.
