An Earth Day 2011 celebration is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, at Town Park.

The theme this year is “All Things Local,” and events will take place from noon to 6 p.m.

Businesses, local nonprofits and numerous individuals are cooperating to provide a variety of activities and entertainment during the day, including e-waste collection, a clothes swap, Aikido demonstrations, the Pagosa Roller Derby girls, kids’ activities and more.

The entertainment schedule features Rakassah Jabal Belly Dance Troupe at noon, The Lemon Drops at 1 p.m., Johnny K, Natalie and Jason Rose at 2, The Cranks at 3, Brooks-i at 4 and the Big’ns at 5.
