Spring Rummage Sale is Saturday at the center

The annual Spring Rummage Sale is upon us.

The sale will take place April 9 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Ross Aragon Community Center.

Come see what treasures you can find at the community’s largest garage sale. You never know what you will find.

Stay tuned: The Cinco de Mayo Dance and Concert will be held at the Ross Aragon Community Center, 6 p.m.-midnight Friday, May 6. There will be a live band, dancing, cash bar and food.

Free programs

Israeli Folk Dance. Come dance the night away on Wednesdays from 7-9:30 p.m. in the South Conference room. Contact the center for questions, 264-4152.

Boxing Class. Coach Monte Lane has classes on Wednesday, 3:45-5 p.m. and Friday, 1:45-3:45 p.m.; times are subject to change. Contact Monte at (936) 524-9557 or the community center at 264-4152.

Scrapbook Club. The group will meet the second Saturday of the month. Kathy Ruth is your contact person; call her at 264-2853.

Mah Jongg. Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. Call the center with any questions, 264-4152.

Pickleball. Pickleball is a game for all ages. Classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 8-10 a.m. Contact Sharon Athey, (480) 529-3748 or shathey@yahoo.com or Fran Brown, (970) 884-3184, if you would like to play.

Tai Chi. No experience is necessary. Join instructors Pam Kircher and Anna O’Reilly. Classes are Fridays, 11 a.m.-noon. Please wear flat-soled shoes and bring water. Class is open to everyone.

Dance for Health Class. Wednesday, 10-11:30 a.m. The use of yogic awareness, ballet/jazz/modern dance technique adds fun to create a full body workout. Class is geared to the older adult, but we are open to everyone. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, bring a mat and large towel or throw, and let your inner dancer free!

Duplicate Bridge. Every Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-10 p.m. Call Stan at 731-2217 or e-mail Stan at sunset1310@aol.com.

Pagosa Bridge. Monday, 12:30-4 p.m. For more information, please contact the Community Center, 264-4152.

Hoopsters. Tuesday and Thursday, 8-9 a.m. Warren and the guys are waiting for you to come out and play. They will play with just about anyone. The Hoopsters are a great group of guys getting out there twice a week for a good game of b-ball.

Yoga. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10-11:30 a.m. and Friday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Come, rejuvenate with us. Please bring a mat or towel. Call the center with questions, 264-4152.

Belly Dancing. We offer a beginners’ class, 2-3:30 p.m. and an Intermediate Class from 3:30–5 p.m. on Wednesday. Come learn this beautiful art, it is great exercise and lots of fun. Contact Carla for more information, 731-3117.

The Ross Aragon Community Center has the space you are looking for. We have reasonably priced rooms to meet your event needs. Our rates range from $6 to $72 per hour. Room sizes for 20, 40, 50, 90 or 500 people.

The community center hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.
