Region 9 receives additional $250K from USDA

The Region 9 Economic Development District has received an additional $250K in intermediary relending program (IRP) loan money from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This addition brings the IRP total in Region 9’s portfolio to one million dollars since the IRP program’s inception in 2003.

Region 9’s Business Loan Fund provides “gap” financing to assist small business retention, expansion and job creation. The amount of IRP loan funds available per business is based on the number of jobs created or retained. Technical assistance grants of up to $5,000 maximum (dependent on loan size) are also available in conjunction with a loan.
