Something Different supports national art event

If you’ve had a chance to read the recent articles about the upcoming Something Different event, you know how spectacular this occasion will be.

What other Colorado town can boast that two of its residents are internationally-known actors and singers? Even better, what other town can offer an exclusive event featuring them as the evening’s entertainment?

Something Different is proud to present international music and theatre stars Victoria Liljenquist and Joseph Portal, singing our favorite Broadway tunes

Entertainment aside, this event is important for Pagosa Springs. Funds raised at Something Different will support the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters organization’s (RMPAP) 10th anniversary National Show being held here this summer. An estimated 50 RMPAP artists will travel to Pagosa Springs, paint all-new, never-before-seen paintings “en plein aire,” then submit up to six pieces for the show, Aug. 5 to 7.

“What a great opportunity for our beautiful Pagosa Springs to host this 10th Anniversary event,” said Liljenquist.  “This will bring recognition and new business, and will expand our tourism in Pagosa.”

It’s easy to support Something Different.

There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities for Pagosa businesses and residents. They include free tickets to and recognition at Something Different, recognition at this summer’s Art Show, exclusive VIP reception with the RMPAP artists, and for our top sponsors — five minutes of fame on stage.

“What fun for our sponsors!” said Portal. “Who knows, this could be someone’s big break.”

Sponsorships range from $100 to $1,000 for individuals and $1,500 and up for businesses.
