As the need for primary care increases in Pagosa Springs, the Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) continues to add providers to meet community demand.
The newest addition to Pagosa Springs Medical Center is Charlene Borja, D.O., who is board-certified in family medicine.
Coming from Orangeburg, N.Y., Charlene attended college in New York and medical school in Maine. She then moved to Denver in 2006 to complete her residency training at Rose Hospital, and afterward began working in private practice in Aurora.
She married in May of 2010, and in January of this year, began working for Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Charlene and her husband are thrilled to be living in Pagosa Springs, enjoying the many outdoor activities this area provides. Charlene loves residing in such a warm and welcoming community.
In the past eight months, the Pagosa Springs Medical Center has added six new medical providers to its hospital and clinic program. As a result, demand at the clinic at Pagosa Springs Medical Center is up significantly this year. Additional providers will be added in 2011.
