Senior Center schedule, menu

Following is the schedule of weekly activities at The Silver Foxes Den.

Friday, March 4 — Geezers 9 a.m.; Stitchin’ in the Kitchen 10 a.m.; Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; International 4H presentation by Shane Sheridan 12:45 p.m.

Monday, March 7 — Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; Tessa Michaelson’s Reader’s Digesting “E-books”; Canasta 1 p.m.

Tuesday, March 8 — Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; Meditation for Healing 1 p.m.; special Medicare presentation for those turning 65 in the next six months 1 p.m.

Wednesday, March 9 — Chris Tanner, Archuleta County Landfill presentation “Recycling” 1 p.m.

Thursday, March 10 — Closed.

Friday, March 11 — Geezers 9 a.m.; Stitchin’ in the Kitchen 10 a.m.; Gym Walk 12:30 p.m.; ASI board meeting 1 p.m.

This week’s menu

Suggested donation for older adults age 60-plus is $3, kids 12 and under and guests $6. Our meal program is partially funded through the Older Americans Act, United Way, and Archuleta County, Town of Pagosa Springs and other contributions and grants. These funds help support the cost of the meal which is approximately $9.75. Please note the menu is subject to change. The salad bar opens at 11:30 a.m., with lunch served from noon to 12:30 p.m.

Friday, March 4 — Tuna salad wrap on tortilla, lettuce and tomato, hard boiled egg, ambrosia fruit salad, tomato soup.

Monday, March 7 — Chili con carne, sliced yellow squash, fresh apple, whole wheat crackers, cornbread.

Tuesday, March 8 — Chicken alfredo, Italian vegetables, apple crisp, salad, whole wheat roll.

Wednesday, March 9 — Teriyaki beef, brown rice, Japanese vegetables, spinach, mandarin orange salad, bran muffin.

Thursday, March 10 — Closed.

Friday, March 11 — Fish creole, cheesy potatoes, broccoli, tossed salad, sliced peaches, bran muffin.
