Hunter education classes set for March

Both youth and adult hunter education classes will be held in March at the Pagosa Springs Community Center, South Conference Room, 451 Hot Springs Blvd. (next to Town Hall), at 6-9 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 8 a.m. until noon Saturdays.

Students must attend each session.

Youth classes will be held March 14, 16, 18 and 19; adult classes will be held March 21, 23, 25 and 26.

Students 17 and under should attend the youth class. Students 18 and older should attend the adult class. If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before you can purchase a hunting license.

All programs, services and activities of the Colorado Division of Wildlife are operated in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need accommodation due to a disability, contact Don Volger at 264-2197. To assure that the Division of Wildlife can meet special needs, notify Don at least seven days before the class.

Class size will not be limited, and no pre-registration is required unless you need accommodations due to a disability.

These courses are sponsored by the Pagosa Springs Police Department in conjunction with the Colorado Division of Wildlife, with support from the local chapter of the Friends of the NRA.
