Linda Brothers featured at Photo Club meeting

The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will meet Wednesday, March 8, at Shy Rabbit Art Center, 333 Bastille Drive.

Join us for socializing starting at 6: p.m., followed by photo critiquing, program and business meeting at 6:30. Please note the new location for this meeting.

For this month’s program the club is pleased to present Linda Brothers, speaking on the subject of “Working with Layer Masks in Photoshop and Elements.”

Linda has been a teacher of photography for 35 years and of computer imaging for five years. She owned and operated both a camera store and studio in Texas, then became a trailride and cattle drive photographer in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. She moved to Gunnison in 2003, where she has had numerous shows and taught classes. She recently held a digital photography seminar at the Pagosa Center for the Arts and is planning one at the Durango Arts Center, March 26-27. Linda is also available for one-on-one tutoring in Photoshop Elements. Her seminars are lively and entertaining as she shares her lifelong passion for photography. Contact Linda at (970) 901-9440 or e-mail her at trailphoto@msn.com.

Join us for fun with digital imaging at Shy Rabbit. We always welcome new faces!

A photo exhibit is held during each club meeting. Two categories are presented — the monthly theme category and the open category where any subject is allowed. This month’s theme is “Snow Shadows Textures.” Members can enter as many as three prints or six digital images. President T.J. Reynolds will lead the critique of photos. This will be done as a group rather than by specified judges.

The Photography Club meets the second Wednesday of each month during the club year from September through May at 6 p.m. interested photography enthusiasts are welcome to attend at no charge for the first meeting. Any and all are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for single individuals and $30 for family membership.
