Kathleen Grams passed away Feb. 8, 2011, in Pagosa Springs, Colo.
Kathleen was born Oct. 7, 1939, in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York.
Kathleen was a military wife for 20 years. She worked for the San Diego Evening Tribune.
She moved to Pagosa on May 1, 1980, and was a shareholder with Pagosa Springs (Red Ryder) Enterprises. Kathleen was committed to her community in numerous ways including serving as a member of the Pagosa Springs town board, as a member of the Archuleta County Education Center board, as an Upper San Juan Hospital District board member, a Republican Central Committee member, as library board chair two times, a member of the Pagosa Springs Volunteer Fire Department and the Pagosa Fire Protection Auxiliary, a cancer patient driver, Loaves and Fishes volunteer, a lifetime member of Friends of the Library, and as a member of the Archuleta County Genealogy Society, Pagosa Women’s Civic Club and American Legion Post 108 Auxiliary.
She is survived by Warren Grams, her husband of 53 years; her daughter, Leslie Lattin; her son, Christopher Grams; her daughter-in-law, Kim Grams; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Roxanne Lattin.
A memorial service will be held Feb. 19, 2011, with time and place to be announced in next week’s issue of The Pagosa Springs SUN.
