United Way of Southwest Colorado announces the availability of funding in 2012 for human service nonprofit organizations operating in Archuleta County. Organizations must have a current 501(c)(3) statement from IRS, a local board of directors that meets regularly, audited financial statements and a local program that can prove it is helping in the areas of education, self-reliance or health. United Way uses the Colorado Common Grant Application. Applications will be available Feb. 14. Due date for applications is March 28. A meeting is scheduled on Feb. 22 to answer questions for qualified applicants.
