Pagosa Springs Arts Council finds new home

The Pagosa Springs Arts Council is moving to a ground level space generously donated by David Harris and Sueyel Grace in the new Estudio Y Galeria at 84 Gold Mine Drive.

We will be relocated to our new space effective Feb. 1. We realize it has been difficult for many of our patrons to attend exhibits and workshops on the third floor of our present location and we have made it our goal for 2011 to find a space that will be more easily accessible for our friends and art lovers. Our phone number and post office box remain the same.

Our winter hours are minimally set for Tuesdays from 12-4 p.m. for anyone who would like to drop in and see the new space. So, please drop by, have a cup of coffee and let us show you around.

We would also like to announce that we have reluctantly accepted the resignation of our past president, Carol Schneider.

Carol has done a wonderful job leading the Arts Council and its current board members in the onward and upward direction that the Arts Council has always pursued. We will miss her in her role as president, but she has graciously agreed to stay on as a member-at-large. Following is a list of our 2011 roster: Delores Highsmith, acting president; Sueyel Grace, acting vice-president; Lavern Burton, secretary; Sherryl Egy, treasurer; Carol Schneider, board member-at-large; Doris Green, board member-at-large; Linda Hogan, board member-at-large; Mary Sealy, board member-at-large and Roxanne Schick, administrative coordinator.
