There are only a few days left to see SHY RABBIT’s highly applauded annual group show, on display through Sunday, Jan. 30.
This remarkable exhibit has been enjoyed by hundreds of local and out of town visitors since opening in December, and features over 100 works of art by 24 of SHY RABBIT’s nationally recognized gallery artists.
A broad selection of creatively crafted pottery by SHY RABBIT studio members is also on display.
SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts: Gallery, Studio & Workshops is located off the beaten path on the west end of town (also known as uptown), in a former auto-repair shop, and in one of Pagosa Springs’ commercial districts.
The 4,000 square foot art center houses a fine art gallery and working ceramic studio, two mixed-media workshops and rotating exhibition spaces.
For nearly seven years, SHY RABBIT has been exhibiting original contemporary ceramics, mixed media, paintings, sculpture, and works on paper by nationally recognized, mid-career and emerging regional artists.
Hailed as one of Pagosa Springs’ hidden treasures, visitors are often surprised by the quality and diversity of the work on display, in addition to the impressive contemporary surroundings.
SHY RABBIT has been widely recognized for its contribution to the advancement of contemporary art in the Four Corners region, and for the high quality of its exhibitions, while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Artist workshops and professional artist development courses are also available for novice and professional artists alike.
SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts: Gallery, Studio & Workshops is located at 333 Bastille Drive; two blocks north of U.S. 160, off of North Pagosa Boulevard, west of the new City Market complex.
