PhotoShop Basics (two spaces left)
This introductory PhotoShop course will take place on Saturday only, Jan. 15, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Course fee: $90; includes use of studio equipment as needed.
No previous experience required. This workshop is also designed for those with PhotoShop experience, and serves as a great refresher course.
Instruction will focus on image/file formats, image sizing, cropping, and image correction.
It will cover accepted practices for submission requirements to juried competitions, publications and newspapers (both online and hardcopy). The preparation of images to be used in promotional materials and website use will also be discussed.
Printmaking without a Press I (two spaces left)
This introductory printmaking course will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 5 and 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Course fee: $235; Includes all necessary course materials, inks and paper. No previous experience required.
This two-day introductory workshop utilizes a unique hand-pressed printing process called “Reductive Ink”™, designed and developed by professional artist and workshop instructor D. Michael Coffee.
Participants will be introduced to the basics of this unique printmaking technique, and will learn how it can replicate traditional printmaking processes without the use of harmful chemicals or expensive printmaking presses.
Students are provided with a materials list, and are encouraged to advance at their own pace by practicing this remarkable printmaking technique in the privacy of their own home.
Workshops are also designed for those with traditional printmaking experience, and are geared to enhance existing skill levels in preparation for intermediate and advanced classes, if desired.

SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts; Gallery, Studio and Workshops is located at 333 Bastille Drive; two blocks north of U.S. 160, off of North Pagosa Boulevard, and west of the City Market complex.
The 4,000 square-foot arts facility houses a ceramic studio and fine art gallery, two mixed-media workshops, and two large exhibition spaces.
