I personally would like to thank all the folks at the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce, as they completely outdid themselves at the December SunDowner and a lot of that was accomplished through the excellent help from Matt Sprowles and his ever-friendly staff at the Ecoluxe building at The Springs. Of course, it all couldn’t have happened without the gourmet hor d’oeuvres that were made and properly prepared for by the superb staff at the Alley House Restaurant. They were the most delicious and mouthwatering tidbits of food that could ever be consumed. The members of the Chamber that missed this SunDowner, missed one memorable evening that Pagosa has ever had, or at least for some time.
I’m quite sure that statement could be echoed by most, if not all that were in attendance at Wednesday evening’s get together at the Ecoluxe. That building afforded us one of the nicest settings that I’ve been to in a long time, including most of the new buildings in the Denver area. “We are uptown folks.”
Getting back to our Chamber friends, Mary Jo and Kimberley had their staff well prepared like the professionals they are, and all of us attending this event had the luxury of their attention all during the evening. Well done, Chamber.
The people at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church wish to thank the 4-H Club, the Empty Bowls project, and all others who have contributed food to our Food Pantry during the month of December. As many of you know, the need for food is greater now than at any time in the history of our food pantry. The generosity of the people of Pagosa Springs is greatly appreciated, especially by those who are recipients of your kindness. Thanks to you, many people in Pagosa Springs will not have to go hungry during these cold winter months. God bless you!
