Holiday Hands-On Arts Camp

Attention parents ... need some shopping time during the holidays?

During winter break, drop of your little elves at Holiday Hands-On Arts Camp, where they can create beautiful handmade Christmas crafts and gifts.

Some of the highlights for week one are: Mexican tin punch candle holder, Christmas ornaments, pine tree sculpture, and handmade gift paper with Ms. Lisa. Ms. Tessie will be “Cookin’ Up” some Christmas goodies for nibbling and for gifts. We will spread the holiday cheer and go caroling on Thursday.

Coming up for week two, we will do “Teachers’ Favorite” art projects such as making reclaimed wool sweater hats and mittens, sock snowmen sculptures, calendars, drawing and painting, musical instruments, and outdoor activities.

The classes will be held at the Pagosa Springs Elementary School Art Room.

The camp will run for two weeks during the school’s winter break. This program is for students in first to sixth grades and will take place Monday through Thursday Dec. 20-30, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Cost is $35 per day. Tuition includes instruction and supplies.

Early registration is encouraged. Class is limited to 20 students per day. Daily space depends on availability — first come, first served. Print out a registration form at our web page, www.hands-on-artscamp, or look for it coming home with your child this week from the elementary school.
