Festival of Trees application deadline extended

The Festival of Trees deadline for applications has been extended to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19.

If you are unable to create and present a tree, please come to the festival, 6-8:30 p.m. Dec. 3, and bid on a tree or two, or on the wonderful handmade items available on our silent auction tables

The trees will be on display for the public Dec. 2, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Dec. 3, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Concert

On Nov. 19, the Ross Aragon Community Center, in collaboration with Elation Center for the Arts, presents “Holy Water and Whiskey: An Evening of American Folk Music” a concert featuring an acoustic trio from Albuquerque that specializes in traditional and contemporary folk songs, cowboy songs, gospel and bluegrass.

More information on this special fund-raising evening will be forthcoming.

Free programs

Computer class. Becky Herman teaches intermediate computer class Wednesdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Please contact Becky at, 264-2171 for class information. You must register to take classes.

Pagosa Bridge. Monday’s 12:30-4 p.m. For more information, contact the community center, 264-4152.

The Ross Aragon Community Center has the space your are looking for. We have reasonably-priced rooms to meet your event needs. Our rates range from $6 to $72 per hour. Room sizes for 20, 40, 50, 90 or 500 people.

The community center hours are Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
