Climate Science and Policy, 2010” is the topic of this week’s Lifelong Learning Lecture, delivered by Dr. Richard E. White.
White is a professor emeritus of astronomy from Smith College (Mass.). A resident of Durango, White has been engaged in the issue of climate change for more than 15 years.
His lecture will focus on the current status of climate science and prospects for climate and energy policy.
This is the third lecture in the fall lecture series held on Saturdays at the library. Lifelong Learning Lectures are free and open to the public. They are held in the Turner Reading Room from 3 to 4:15 p.m. in the Ruby Sisson Library, located on the corner of U.S. 160 and 8th Street.
