Flu shot clinics start Oct. 26

Individuals of any age are welcome to get their flu shots at San Juan Basin Health Department’s Walk-In Flu Clinics beginning Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Pagosa Springs office at 502 S. 8th St.

These clinics will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and will continue through mid-December.

San Juan Basin Health is offering flu shots this year for only $14.70. We accept Medicare, pediatric Medicaid, CHP+, and Rocky Mountain HMO insurance. Please bring your insurance card with you to the clinic. We will also be offering free Tdap and pneumonia shots for those who qualify.

Adults can also receive the flu shot along with these additional vaccinations at a community clinic in Arboles on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Catholic Church on Colo. 151.

Parents with children (under 19) can also call to schedule a flu shot appointment for their children at our regular Monday immunization clinics. The nasal FluMist vaccine is also available.

Future community clinics will be advertised when scheduled. For more information and updates, call 264-2409 or check the website at www.sjbhd.org.
