The Empty Bowls Event is Saturday, Nov. 13, 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs High School in the Commons Area.
Empty Bowls is a community project to raise money for our local food banks.
For $10 you get to choose a bowl created by teachers, local potters, community members, and students. Each bowl is lead-free and food safe.
The bowl is then filled with soup of different kinds, donated by students and community members. The humble meal includes bread and a beverage.
These bowls are unique and beautiful and can be kept as a reminder of the hunger struggle of people in our community and the world.
Clay has been donated by New Mexico Clay, of Albuquerque.
A special silent auction will take place during the event, including art works by local artists and art teachers, to help in the fund-raising efforts for our local food banks.
