The San Juan Back Country Horsemen will hold their monthly meeting Oct 18.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Archuleta County Extension building. Its focus, “See you in the spring,” comes from Patty and Jim Latham, both DVMs, who are moving from Pagosa Springs. Jim will deliver a program on hoof care for the horse owner — barefoot or shod — and on communicating with the farrier and veterinarian.

Before the program, all are invited to bring a dish for the potluck dinner. For the evening’s finale, the Killens will provide musical entertainment.
