The Water Information Program (WIP) and San Juan Citizens Alliance will sponsor the fifth annual “Water 101” Workshop tomorrow (Oct. 8), at the Bayfield Town Hall, 11 West Mill St. The daylong affair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include lunch, a snack and information packet.
According to WIP Coordinator Denise Rue-Pastin, workshop topics will cover Colorado water administration, development, history and regulation; thus providing attendees a basic understanding of water law and related issues. A host of qualified speakers will include Colorado Supreme Court Justice Gregory Hobbs.
This Water 101 workshop will provide attorneys seven credits of “continuing education,” while Realtors will receive eight. This marks a significant increase, as Realtors have historically received three or four credits while attending Water 101 workshops.
For anyone planning to attend the workshop, registration at the door is $37.
For more information on this Water 101 Workshop, call WIP at 247-1302, or visit www.waterinfo.org. Call the same to contact Rue-Pastin, or e-mail her at email@example.com.
The WIP office is located at 841 East Second Ave. in Durango.
