A portion of the downtown Riverwalk will be closed temporarily from today through Oct. 2 in order to prepare the existing asphalt for milling and repaving.
The portion affected will be the section beginning due east of South 6th Street and continuing east through Centennial Park to the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the parking areas behind Tequila’s and the River Pointe Coffee Cafe. The pedestrian bridge will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
Barricades will be placed at each end of the targeted segment, and the repaving effort should conclude by next weekend, weather permitting.
