On Sunday, Sept. 26, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hear a sermon entitled “If You’re Only Looking for Happiness,” first delivered by the Rev. Tony Larsen and presented by Susan Junta.
Junta comments ”The United States Constitution guarantees us the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And it’s an accepted ’truism’ that happiness is life’s goal! Unfortunately, however, by making happiness a major goal in life, and making it seem like something you can achieve, our society ironically ends up decreasing the possibility of achieving it.”
Susan Junta, is past president of Pagosa Springs UU Fellowship, and was a psychotherapist in private practice in California for over 15 years.
Celebrating the Autumnal Equinox will be the focus of the Children’s Religious Exploration (CRE) program. They will explore the time of the harvest that Pagans honor and also prepare for the annual water communion next week. The children’s program runs concurrently with the worship service, beginning at 10:30. For specific questions regarding the CRE program, contact DeAnna Hoyle at 731-7900.
At 9:30 a.m., all are invited for the monthly informal sing-along, accompanied by Jean Smith. This is a chance to learn new hymns, and have some fun singing.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
