Mountain View Homemakers will meet at 11:30 a.m. today, Sept. 9, at the Extension Building at the fairgrounds.
The program will be about the early days in Pagosa. Visitors are welcome and members are urged to attend.
As members arrive they will each receive eight special peel-n-stick dots which they can use to vote for eight organizations to receive an equal share of the profits from the July auction. Posters listing more than 15 non-profit organizations will be posted around the room. Members can cast their eight votes by putting one or more of their eight dots on the poster of those organizations they think should be funded.
The program will follow a covered dish luncheon at noon. Visitors are welcome and are not expected to bring a dish. There are no membership dues and when a woman attends her second meeting, she becomes a member.
