Police department to participate in impaired driving enforcement campaign
Thursday, August 12, 2010
The Pagosa Springs Police Department is participating in the Labor Day National Crackdown 2010 High Visibility Impaired Driving Enforcement campaign. Officers will increase patrols for the enforcement period starting Aug. 20 and ending Sept. 7. National traffic studies confirm that increased patrols provide a “risk of apprehension,” thereby reducing the number of impaired driving traffic crashes. The Pagosa Springs Police Department reminds citizens to report suspected impaired drivers to combined dispatch at 264-2131 or 911.
