Work from live models

This is a class that everyone can afford, and everyone is invited to participate. The concept of gathering artists using all mediums (pencil, charcoal, paint, photography, clay, fabric, metal, etc.), experienced or not, in comradely association with live models as inspiration for new creations is the objective.

Each model will pose for one hour, breaking every 15 minutes.

The class will be held Saturday, Aug. 28. There will be three intervals: 10 a.m.-noon; 1-3 p.m. and 3-5, with a lunch break (bring your own lunch if you wish).

The artists might engage in sketches or a variety of mediums or work towards one completed piece during each interval. PSAC will provide staging, chairs and tables. Please bring your own easel, if needed. We have a few easels available on a first-come, first-served basis, so call to reserve one. The fee is $20 for the class, and we encourage you to make a donation for the models. Call PSAC at 264-5020 early to register, since there are only 15 spaces.

Lavern Burton is looking for fully outfitted: cowboy, Native American woman, belly dancer, ballerina and swimsuit- and trunk-clad models. Call Lavern at (575) 770-5159.
