We hope you have had the chance to get some outdoor work started or finished. We are still working on plants — that’s never ending, but it’s fun and they look fabulous.
A heads up: I’m taking my first shooting lessons. Yes we will be on a shooting range, and I will be wearing my glasses, but strange things have been know to happen even when safety has been put in place.
Computer classes. for the more advanced class, Yyou will need to know the basics of using the Web and a Windows operating system. The first class will cover some interesting websites you might not be aware of. These sites can organize your information, manage your finances, order a wake up call to any phone at any time, send a fax, manage a PC remotely, ect. Other topics will be discussed and decided upon at the first class session.
Some possible topics are PC security, home networks, word processing, spreadsheets, installing hardware and hardware drivers, OS cleanup, and of course, many others. Call Becky with your questions at 264-2171.
Beginning computer classes will begin in August and not July as stated last week. Garrett Stoll will be teaching the classes. The classes will comprehensively cover basic computer skills, including, program use, e-mail, internet, basic maintenance/troubleshooting, and others; Computer theory (how computers work), powering on and off, mouse/keyboard use, files/folders and organization, program theory/use, Internet theory/use (e-mail included), basic troubleshooting. The Ross Aragon Community Center has the space your are looking for. We have reasonably-priced rooms to meet your event needs. Our rates range from $6 to $72 per hour. Room sizes for 20, 40, 50, 90 or 500 people.
