St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church will feature the vocal talents of Matthew and Tiffany Brunson at Sunday Night Unplugged this Sunday, July 11, at 5 p.m.
The Brunsons moved to Pagosa Springs five years ago and have dazzled audiences with their beautiful singing voices and acting skills in several Music Boosters productions, including “I Do, I Do,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and “Clue the Musical.” They were featured performers in Music Boosters’ musical review “The Beat Goes On” last December.
Prior to moving to Pagosa Springs, Matthew and Tiffany traveled the country with a Christian singing group out of California. Since arriving here, they have established and sung with local Christian bands to help share their faith through contemporary music. They enjoy working with young people to help them develop their talents and share their gifts with others.
Sunday Night Unplugged is an ecumenical service of prayer and music offered by St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 225 S. Pagosa Blvd., on the second Sunday evening of each month. Each service lasts about an hour and gives the public an opportunity to enjoy the many musical talents of local artists in a meditative and relaxed environment.
“We like to keep the Sunday Night Unplugged service simple in order to give participants time to listen, meditate, and hear the voice of God through music, scripture and prayer,” says Fr. Doug Neel, rector of St. Patrick’s. “People come to this service for all sorts of reasons. Some come to hear and support the musicians, others to pray, others to meditate, others as a pleasant reprieve from a busy week. Whatever the reason, we welcome all who wish to join us.”
