What if sharing your faith meant just being yourself?

They say that you just don’t realize how many people you’ll have an effect on in any given day.

The same is true for those who wish to share their faith in Christ with people that they care about and others that they may not even know at all. While they know that what they share is good news, it still brings on the same anxiety as having to put on a public speaking appearance. Most people are just not that comfortable. And, talking about Jesus, our one and only Savior, carries with it certain responsibilities too. You might think to yourself, “What if I do not answer their questions quite right?”

Grace Church in Pagosa is hosting a day-long event for women to learn how “nudge others close to Jesus” with a series of speakers to talk about the ordinary influence that we have with one another.

The program is entitled “Ordinary Influence,” and will be held Saturday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ross Aragon Community Center, 451 Hot Springs Blvd.

The event is for women of all ages, and teenagers are encouraged to attend since a high school senior who has ministered to youth for several years will be a speaker that day.

The ticket cost is $15 and includes a continental breakfast, a delicious lunch and materials. Childcare (toddlers and up) is free with pre-registration and there is also some free housing available for out-of town guests. There will be fun, surprises and some prizes as well. Grace Church welcomes you and hopes to see you there.
