Alissa Zissman

Alissa Zissman recently passed the National Opticianry Competency Exam and became a board certified optician. Opticians use prescriptions, written by eye doctors, to dispense lenses and eye wear to patients. Certified opticians must renew their certification every three years by attending conferences and continuing education classes. Alissa thanks her husband, Jon , for helping her prepare for the exam, which is offered twice a year in Denver. In addition to her national certification as an optician, Alissa has a B.A. from Penn State University and a M.S. from Portland State University.
