INVITATION TO BID

Separate sealed BIDS for the E.O.C. Parking Lot and Drainage Reconstruction project will be received by Archuleta County at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at 188 South 8th Street, P.O. Box 1208, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, until 10:00 a.m. local time on June 15, 2010, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The base project consists of reconstructing the parking lot and current drainage at the E.O.C. building owned by Archuleta County. The existing asphalt and gravel parking will be demolished and the proposed parking lot will be built in roughly the same location. Curb and gutter, valley gutter, sidewalk, and a hot mix asphalt parking lot will be constructed.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained on or after June 1, 2010, at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at 188 South 8th Street, P.O. Box 1208, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, upon payment of $50.00 for each set. No refund will be made for returned copies.

Archuleta School District is currently seeking bids for two separate projects that need to be completed during the summer of 2010 prior to the start of the 2010-2011 school year.

Project # 1: The district has a few heated sidewalks and entry ways by the Junior High School that need to be dug up and replaced. Concrete will need to be broken up and hauled away. The hydronic heating needs to be replaced and new concrete poured. This project must be completed before the end of July 2010.

Project # 2: The High School Vocational building (metal building) has been damaged from snow load. The north side wall panels and trim need to be removed and replaced and perlins added for adequate support. A 30 inch overhang will also be added to the roof to eliminate future snow load problems.

Project # 3: The High School has sustained damage to the stucco and tin flashing at the rear of the building. All damaged stucco, tin flashing, and trim must be removed and replaced.

The District will provide a walk thru on Monday June 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm for Project # 1, another at 3:00 pm for Project # 2, and a final tour at 4:00 pm for Project # 3. Any contractors interested in bidding on jobs are asked to meet at the Maintenance and Transportation (MaT) Building located at 800-B South 8th St. Any and all questions will be answered at that time.

Please submit bids to Maintenance & Transportation Director Dolly Martin by Thursday, June 17, 2010 by 2:00 p.m. Work will be awarded on Monday June 24, 2010.
