On Sunday, May 23, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will watch a DVD entitled “Freely Spiritual, Lightly Religious,” presented by the Rev. Christine Robinson, senior minister at First Unitarian Church in Albuquerque, N.M. She will expound upon the basic organizing principles of the UU religious faith.
Several years ago Rev. Robinson spearheaded an ambitious grant-funded project to support their branch congregations and 15 small lay-led congregations located across the western half of the United States. The PUUF has been a regular subscriber to the project since its inception, and we always look forward to each of the four’Freely spiritual DVD sermons we receive yearly to supplement our locally originated worship services.
Practicing is one way we grow, and this week the Children’s Religious Exploration moves to UU’s Third Principle: “Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth.” We will sing, practice yoga poses, and create special items for our upcoming rummage sale, Saturday, May 29.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
