Louise Schulz Diedring, 83, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2010, at Pine Ridge Extended Care Center in Pagosa Springs. Her husband, Kurt, preceded her in death.
Liesel was born in Bielefeld, Germany, on Dec. 21, 1926.
She married Kurt Diedring on Nov. 20, 1953, and they immigrated to Sheboygan, Wisc., in 1955. Louise worked at Sunny Ridge Retirement Home, and was active in the Girl Scouts and Zion United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. Louise and Kurt retired and moved to Pagosa Springs in May 1991.
Louise’s interests included gardening (she earned her Master Gardener’s certificate), birds, cooking and her family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Mark Dahm, of Pagosa Springs; her son, Michael, who resides in Vilnius, Lithuania; and her grandchildren, Heather Dahm, of Durango, Colo., and Ben Diedring, Goshen, Ind.
The family is grateful to all the wonderful staff at Pine Ridge who provided such loving care. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in her memory be sent to Pine Ridge Extended Care Center, 119 Bastille Drive, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147.
