Operation Cinderella was a huge success. We want to thank all of the individuals who donated dresses and accessories; we had a total of 116 dresses. We truly appreciate your help. Kudos to Jessica Trujillo, Lou Jean Espinosa, Shelly, Sylvia and Tanya from Shear Talk, Dina Zellner, The Overlook, The Springs Salon, Studio 160, City Market, the recreation center, Jessica Peart and Mountain Home Security for the great door prizes. A special thanks to Pagosa high school, Mary Jo Coulehan, Joann Irons, the Youth Center, and, of course, all the young ladies who attended this annual event.
Thank you to all my mom’s friends, relatives and all who sent donations, flowers and cards while my mom, Tina, was at Saint Anthony’s Hospital and Hospice.
Love you all,
Dominic Martinez, Lorrena (Rich) and baby Gabriel, Mariano and Violet
His name is Freddie. He is four months old and is a very sweet natured dog.
He is a great addition to our family.
It is obvious he has received a great deal of love, attention and socializing, all this due to the great effort of the staff and many volunteers of the Pagosa Springs Humane Society. It is a sad fact to realize that the economic stress and downturn causes a dire situation for these cats and dogs that get an even lesser chance of adoption. But the wonderful people at the shelter are admirable for all their devotion, time and love they give the animals, despite their own busy schedules.
What I find a great plus is the home screenings done by a staff/volunteer member prior to adopting, to screen for any health hazards, safety, maybe the fact that you already have 10 cats and 10 dogs, all to provide a safe home and prevent any future issues.
So thanks for again for doing a wonderful job.
Dear Pagosa family and friends, thank you for all of your in-kind donations, inspiring and well-wishing prayers.
Pagosa Springs is truly a caring community! The road to recovery starts now after this very challenging time. Many heartfelt blessings to you all.
