Southwest Light and Learning Center will show its next alternative monthly movie on Sunday, April 25, 3 p.m., at Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
How would it change your life if you learned that every day 25 percent of your calories came from a poison, disguised as a food?
“Sugar: The Bitter Truth” is a documentary featuring Robert Lustig, M.D., a professor of pediatrics, Division of Endocrinology at University of California, San Francisco.
Lustig will enthrall you with the biochemistry, public health, clinical research, racial innuendoes and politics of sugar. This video does more than just expose the dangers of corn syrup, Aspartame or Splenda. It documents how our bodies digest the food that we eat each and every day. Do beer and Coke digest the same?
Join us on Sunday, April 25. This event is free and open to the public, with donations accepted to help support Southwest Light and Learning Center, a nonprofit institute for higher awareness. Tea and a light snack will be served.
