A Contra Dance will take place April 3 at Park Elementary School, 510 E.  6th Ave., Durango.

Beginner dance instruction is at 7 p.m. 

The Contra Dance with the band Hands 5 from Albuquerque, and caller Peg Hesley from Phoenix, is from 7:15-10:15.

All dances are taught and called.  No partner is necessary, and dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome.  Admission is $10.  First-timers get a pass to come back for free.

These smoke-and alcohol-free dances are a project of the Durango Arts Center.
