Community choir starting spring concert season

The Pagosa Springs Community Choir will begin rehearsals for our spring concerts on Tuesday, March 3, at the high school band/choir room.

Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the rehearsal will be from 7 to 9. The choir asks for a $20 registration fee to help pay for the music. As always, the program will include several new selections, as well as some favorites from past concerts.

The spring choir will be directed by Dan Burch, music director at Pagosa Springs High School. Dan has assisted conductor Larry Elginer in the past and is taking the reins while Elginer takes a well-deserved sabbatical. Burch will be assisted by tenor Perry Schjolin. The choir will be accompanied by our extraordinary pianist, Venita Burch.

The spring concerts will be on Friday evening, June 4, and Sunday afternoon, June 6, in the high school auditorium, and, of course, there is no charge.
