Garvin resigns at Pueblo Community College

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) today accepted the resignation of Dr. John D. Garvin, president of Pueblo Community College. 

Garvin resigned for personal reasons. 

“I want to thank Dr. Garvin for his years of service to the college and wish him well in his future endeavors, “said Dr. Nancy McCallin, CCCS president.

The leadership of the college will be headed by Cliff Richardson, vice-president of administration and finance for the Colorado Community College System.   Before coming to the system, Richardson, a native of Pueblo, was president of Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colo..

 Colleen Armstrong, VP of administration and finance, Cindy Mihelich, VP of student services, and Laura Solano, VP of learning will assume the responsibilities of daily operations and report to Richardson. 

Over the next several weeks, Richardson and McCallin will meet with the leadership team and the community to evaluate the next steps to take for the college.
