Warm up your January nights and sing out your winter blues.
Come dressed in your favorite Broadway attire and invite your friends and neighbors for a great night of song and gaiety.
This night of show tunes, featuring John Graves at the keyboard, will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m Thursday, Jan. 28, at Pagosa Pub Works Brewpub at 185 N. Pagosa Blvd.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and assorted desserts will be provided, along with a cash bar.
Tickets ($15) will be available at Pagosa Pub Works Brewpub, Higher Grounds and the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center beginning Jan. 5.
We’ll be singing your favorites, so we hope to see you there! The Pagosa Springs Arts Council sponsors this fund-raiser.
Operation Helmet Liner
The men and women who are overseas fighting for our safety and freedom need our help.
To keep our troops warm during the cold winter days and nights, they need helmet liners and neck gators.
Whether you knit or crochet, you can participate in this important community service for our troops. Pagosa Springs Arts Council board member Carol Schneider will be leading this operation. Please join her from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 12, at the Eagle Mountain Mercantile to begin the project.
The group will decide at its first meeting what days and times to meet until they complete the project.
The meetings and patterns are free. The supply list and supplies are available at Eagle Mountain Mercantile, which has graciously offered the space in which to work and will pay to send the helmet liners to our troops.
Let’s show that Pagosa Springs cares about our fighting troops and appreciates the sacrifices these men and women are making for our freedom.
For more information, call Eagle Mountain Mercantile at 731-9900.
