On Sunday, Dec. 27, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hear a talk by Shanti Johnson about her “Travels in India.”
Shanti, a longtime Pagosah UU member and current scholarship student at Fort Lewis College, recently spent five weeks traveling throughout India. She participated in yoga and meditation retreats, experiencing both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and learning about what she considers “one of the most romanticized and extraordinary places in the world.”
She asks “What draws so many people to this often mystically revered land?” She points out that “Many travel to India to see the holy sights and experience a world drastically different from their own, and many are hoping to find themselves along the way.”
The schedule for our children and youth program has been relaxed and free-flowing with lots of time for sharing and just being together. We will continue this format throughout the winter months, and focus on holidays, making each one “holy” as community.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome
