Once again, with time off from school, the Pagosa Springs Youth Center is offering six days of fun at a Holiday Camp.
With holiday themes for games, crafts, outdoor activities, movies and healthy snacks, the children attending will enjoy all the events planned for this camp.
Under the direction of Kelly Wilderson, the center provides licensed day care for your child. The camp runs from Monday, Dec. 21 to Wednesday, Dec. 23, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., and again Monday, Dec. 28-Wednesday, Dec. 30. Cost for a day is $30 and includes snacks. Lunches should be brought each day. Your child can attend as many days as you like.
Youngsters 5-12 years of age are eligible to attend the camp. An application can be found online at www.psyouthcenter.com, or call the center at 264-5030. A registration fee of $15 will be applied to tuition. Sibling discounts are available as well. Call or register by Dec. 18, or call before bringing your child to camp so we can staff accordingly.
Pagosa Springs Youth Center provides holiday camps to help with childcare and give children some wonderful supervised activities while parents are working or looking to give their children additional activities during school breaks.
The Youth Center will open in January for teenagers in the community, providing a tobacco-, alcohol- and drug-free environment, with after-school and evening programs and activities. Hours of operation will be 3:30-8 p.m. Monday-Friday .
If you are interested in volunteering at the Youth Center, call Joanne Irons at 264-5030.
