Homemakers entertained by high school choir

The December Mountain View Homemakers Club Christmas luncheon was held last Thursday at the Extension Building.

Pagosa Springs High School’s choir sang carols to the club’s membership, led by music director Dan Burch, with Kathy Isberg on keyboard, before the special homemade holiday luncheon was served to all.

The MVHC represents the spirit of the women in Pagosa Springs. Diversified homemaking talents include academic and professional training, together with independent self-taught skills by the members, have proven an invaluable source of wealth to Pagosa Springs for 46 years.

Homemakers meet the second Thursday of every month (except August) at noon for a potluck luncheon and a prescheduled program or activity.

Invitees are asked to bring their own place settings. Monthly location of all meetings will be published in the weekly SUN newspaper. No membership dues are required. Remember, you are invited to join us for a delicious home-cooked luncheon, a worthy-of-note program and lots of fun.

New 2010 club officers are: Mary Webb, president; Cathy Rutherford and Denny Rose, co-vice-presidents; Jane Baker, treasurer; and Annette Uehling, secretary.
