Happy holidays, everyone.
I know some out there are waiting for news on the Festival of Trees, but you will have to wait one more week.
It was a beautiful sight in our multipurpose room.; we hope you were able to come to the Festival and take a look at the trees before the auction. It really was a beautiful array of work — a one-of-a-kind holiday event.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to sponsor or decorate a tree, and to those who where able to bid on them. On behalf of all the organizations, thank you.
We are looking for your Beanie Babies.
The center is collecting Beanie babies to send to our soldiers overseas. All units need them to give to the local kids who love them.
The military has found that Beanie Babies are better then small plastic toys, which will break easily and are not as easy to carry in a pack. There is no more effective ambassador for our country than a soldier helping the local people.
Please consider donating your Beanie Babies to the center during business hours. We will take care of the rest and get them to our servicemen. Please phone Thea at 264-4152 for additional information.
